The Abu Dhabi Convention and Exhibition Bureau (ADCEB), in partnership with ADNEC Group, has established a joint fund that will provide additional financial incentives and support for corporate events in the city.
The new fund is a continuation of ADCEB’s strategy to leverage public-private partnerships to facilitate business-to-business activities, as part of Abu Dhabi’s push to position the city as a global business hub.
The partnership will combine ADCEB and ADNEC Group’s joint marketing efforts to raise awareness of the UAE’s readiness to host major conferences, conventions, exhibitions and events.
“With ADCEB’s experience and expertise and ADNEC Group’s impressive portfolio of events, tourism and hospitality assets, together we can create the ultimate destination package, showcasing the best of the UAE and attracting a growing number of large and well-known activities to Abu Dhabi,” said Saleh Mohamed Al Geziry, Director of Tourism Abu Dhabi, DCT.

ADNEC continues to strengthen the UAE’s position as a pre-eminent global destination for events by taking advantage of the country’s modern facilities, advanced infrastructure and high-quality services.
The joint fund is an additional tool for international and domestic agencies to promote Abu Dhabi, filling a gap in Advantage Abu Dhabi’s support to more than 500 delegates.
For events planned to take place between May 1, 2023 and December 31, 2024, applicants may submit an Inquiry/Request for Proposal (RFP) to ADCEB or ADNEC through the ADCEB-ADNEC Joint Fund for their event Active support eligibility.
Business Travel Fund
Meanwhile, the launch of the new fund comes as ADNEC prepares to host major international exhibitions, events and conferences that will bring visitors, exhibitors and speakers from around the world to Abu Dhabi.
Some 33 percent of events will be held in Abu Dhabi and across the Middle East for the first time, ADNEC said, in line with the group’s efforts to cement the city’s status as the region’s business tourism capital.
These events include the World Future Energy Summit, Zayed Sustainability Prize Ceremony, Abu Dhabi Sustainability Week Summit, Sustainable Innovation Forum, EcoWASTE 2023, Water Show and Forum, Smart City Forum, and Environment and Climate Forum.
ADNEC has unveiled a new corporate identity to increase visibility for its six main business segments: Venues, Events, Hospitality, Food and Beverage, Services and Tourism.
The new corporate identity reflects the Group’s renewed vision and mission as it seeks to expand both operationally and geographically.
As a global hub for major events, ADNEC Centers has the infrastructure to ensure long-term and sustainable growth, flexible teams and facilities, and key services delivered through a number of companies specializing in destination management, catering, hospitality and more.

The ADNEC Group comprises several specialist companies operating synergistically in six main business areas, principally ADNEC Venues, ADNEC Events, ADNEC Hotels, ADNEC Services, ADNEC Catering and ADNEC Tourism.
The group pledged to support the UAE’s 2050 Net Zero Emissions Strategic Plan to reduce carbon emissions, during which time the country will spend more than AED600 billion on renewable energy. The incremental approach is in line with the country’s leadership in taking broad climate change action in the region.
The company’s net zero commitment will take the form of strategic planning and actions to ensure that its operations achieve net zero carbon emissions by 2050, while influencing sustainable and measurable actions across the value chain.
