Abu Dhabi authorities issued a new reminder to warn the public not to gather at the scene of the accident.
Doing so will result in a fine of 1,000 dirhams, because crowding around these locations will hinder the arrival of emergency vehicles such as traffic patrols and ambulances.
Abu Dhabi police shared a video on social media that showed motorists quickly gathering around two cars that collided, parking the vehicles at will and blocking traffic.
The video also shows that passers-by took out their mobile phones to take photos of the crash-another illegal act that will lead to legal proceedings.

The force stated that anyone who took and shared footage of the accident would face imprisonment and fines.
Punishment is a means to prevent the public from engaging in such negative behaviors so that emergency responders can perform their duties and provide humanitarian assistance to those in need.
