Minor Hotels to launch Tivoli brand in Oman

Hotel owner, operator and investor Minor Hotels has announced the expansion of its Tivoli Hotels & Resorts brand in the Middle East with the forthcoming 180-room Tivoli Muscat Hotel & Residences in Oman.

Development of the property will begin in the Omani capital later this year, with an expected launch in 2026.

The new build property will be located in La Vie, Muscat Hills, a prestigious mixed-use community ideally located within a 10-minute drive from Muscat International Airport. Featuring an 80-room hotel and 100 branded residences, the mixed-use development overlooks a reopened 18-hole golf course managed by Troon Golf and also includes the Toptracer facility, the fourth in the region and the first in Oman. The new Oman Convention and Exhibition Centre, the Oman Automobile Association and several ministries are also located nearby.

In addition to a wide range of accommodation options, facilities at the new hotel include a swimming pool and gym, Anantara Spa, a ballroom and four meeting rooms. The hotel will also offer a variety of dining options, including a rooftop bar and restaurant, a lobby lounge café, a sports bar and an all-day dining restaurant.

With its imminent debut in Oman, Tivoli Hotels & Resorts continues to expand in the Middle East, with Minor Hotels currently operating three Tivoli properties in Qatar and developing further new builds in Bahrain, due to launch in 2024. In addition, the brand debuted in Asia in 2022 with the launch of Tivoli Chengdu in China Cultural Heritage Park, and expanded its footprint in Europe this year, adding properties in the Netherlands, Portugal and Tenerife, Spain.

Tivoli Muscat and main project LA VIE are being developed by Oman Real Estate Investment Services LLC (Oris), the real estate arm of Oman’s international development and investment company SAOG (Ominvest), established in 1983 and headquartered in Oman, in Muscat Listed on the Special Stock Exchange Stock Exchange since 1998. Ominvest is one of the largest investment firms in the region, with total assets exceeding $1.8 billion.
