A recent project you’re proud of, and why.

UPS at ComplexCon 2021 It’s been a phenomenal partnership, a win for brands, suppliers, attendees and ComplexCon. We’ve partnered with UPS to set up shipping stops at discounted rates throughout the festival so people can send their purchases directly home instead of carrying them around all day, putting attendees back in the fun.We also work with UPS immigrant children Who brought 13 small businesses that wouldn’t normally be able to attend ComplexCon. UPS provided a grant for each business, and we gave away custom limited-edition immigrant kids merchandise with a purchase from one of the 13 businesses, adding to the ambiance with a custom mural mr b baby On a UPS truck.

There’s one thing about how the music world is going to get you excited.

It’s not NFT or distribution and listening habits (it could be age and perspective), but I just love how you can really feel the sound of the new generation. Whether it’s Billie Eilish, Ice Spice, or King Isis, I just hear something now and think “Gen Z will love this.” It’s an evolution of their available sound and history, a whole new level of lyrical vulnerability, and even Emotional use. From the age of 16 to around 26, music is the most important thing in your life… now is their time.

Music or other work by others that you’ve recently enjoyed.

I really like Beyond the Streets just right Beastie Boy. In an era where so many immersive experiences rely on A/V and technology, it’s delightfully tangible and lo-fi. Every artifact has a story, and people really love it.

I also like companies that effectively incorporate music and culture into other passion points, like what XSET are working with artists in the gaming/esports space, and what crew union Something to do with artists and basketball.

You recently discovered an inspiring book, movie, TV show, or podcast.

Reverb: Do it better with music The work of Keith Blanchard and Peter Gabriel has changed the way I listen to and think about music. It’s all about the effect music has on the brain. So many real-world applications, it explains why playing music, even songs you’re not particularly fond of, can be intimate and enjoyable.

Behind me is my friend Joe Bellioti and his writing partner Rebecca Jolly’s How music can develop brands. I’m sure it will slap in the face.

Artists You Admire Outside of the Music World

Cord Jefferson is the writer of the Emmy Award-winning TV series Watchmen. My favorite thing about his work is the stupid bit he talks about with Chris Hayes white mob at surf festival While he’s writing for Gawker, but he’s about to make his directorial debut There’s a main studio, and it turns heads.

Your favorite fictional character.

Since 2020, it has been Olaf, Especially in Frozen 2. There’s a lot of wisdom out there.

Someone worth following on social media.

rap tv and music of our generation Both feel like next-generation youth culture media companies. RapTV has more than 20 million followers instagram and Tik Tok Engage with their original content on an insane level. our generation is bringing artists from obscurity into the mainstream. Putting aside the impressive size of these two entities, here’s who is already paying attention to them. Some of the biggest names in pop culture! It’s all real!

Your main strengths as a marketer/creative.

Connect dots and find alignment when nothing seems to be aligned.I have worked with TUMS antacid Talk Show with Malatang popular Receive full season comprehensive sponsorship. I sat there wondering “what’s the smartest tie-in on this show”. I’ve never seen a more positive Youtube review in my life for a sponsor… like… I’ve got other brands to look at Youtube reviews… YOUTUBE reviews.

your greatest weakness.

Knowing when to let go of an idea I like. (Rest in peace, my Houston cooking show Trill Grill: The Grilllogie with the Trill OGs.)

People will be amazed by you.

I was a springboard diver growing up through college that somehow made me an NCAA Division I athlete.I promise the speedo doesn’t fit anymore

One thing that always makes you happy.

Play music (group or solo) and send my girls to school. Both are divine ways to get your mind off your mind for a while.

The one thing that always makes you sad.

I’m not a big fan of Anne Hathaway, but her version “I had a dream” From Les Misérables disappoints me every time.

If you weren’t in the music industry, what would you be.

Possibly restaurants and nightlife. I need to be with people.
