“The meeting agreed to launch a comprehensive and integrated operation with the entire country and government that will free the country from the threat of terrorism with renewed vigor and determination,” it said in a statement.
The meeting took place at the prime minister’s office and initially lasted two hours. The meeting later resumed and ended in the evening, according to Dawn.
The prime minister’s office said the meeting was a continuation of a January 2 meeting that followed the February 17 attack on the Karachi police station.
It added that the move to eradicate the scourge of terrorism in all its forms from Pakistan will include measures at the political, diplomatic security, economic and social levels.

Earlier on Friday, PTI leader Shireen Mazari said the National Security Council meeting was crucial, saying it was crucial in formulating a future course of action regarding the country’s security.
