Leigh’s delightful pre-match entertainment continued with the confirmation of British rock band Toploader.
The Eastbourne-based band will perform ahead of their Premier League round 10 tie against Leeds United on April 21, with kick-off at 8pm.
To date, Toploader has sold more than 2 million albums and has had several top 20 albums since its inception in 1997.
Arguably their most famous cover is the 1999 US hit “Dance in the Moonlight”, while their debut album Onka’s Big Moka reached the top five of the UK Albums Chart.
The band will join the Girl Scouts, T’Pau and lottery winners at Leigh Sports Village ahead of the start of the Super League.
Leigh boss Derek Beaumont provided off-field entertainment following his side’s return to the Premier League, with an event on every matchday.
The team enjoyed record Premier League attendances for their borough battle against Wigan, which Matt Peet’s Warriors won 34-6, with 9,189 at the Leigh Sports Village.
The Panthers’ average attendance so far in 2023 is 8,504, excluding their Rival Round clash with the Salford Red Devils, where Elvis and Robbie Williams tribute singers performed.
