Wild animals are known for their aggressive, territorial behavior in their respective native habitats simply because of the obvious reality that they evolved in this way.
From amphibians to birds, fish, mammals and reptiles, different wildlife species have the ability to survive, reproduce and even adapt to changing environments.
However, it was a different story when they were imprisoned far from their homes.
Cases of both legal and illegal captivity of animals have increased worldwide for decades.
The research also examined how the animals fared when they were in native or artificial environments, also known as animal enclosures.
With this, scientific investigations arose about whether wild and captive animals behave differently, and which is more dangerous.
For more than a decade, there have been documented cases of wild animals throwing fits or becoming violent in captivity, including a notorious orca killing its trainer and a ferocious primate believed to have deliberately hurt a child.
With this, animal behaviorists, experts, and activists point out that wild animals are dangerous even when domesticated or turned into pets.
