Trivandrum: Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan A four-day trip to the United Arab Emirates is likely to begin next month.According to reliable sources, he will go to United Arab Emirates On May 7th, at the invitation of the UAE Government.
Government sources said Vijayan will attend the investment conference and debate with the public on May 10.he will be accompanied by the minister of industry RajivMinister of Disabled Persons and Tourism PA Mohamed Riyas and other government officials.
The Chief Minister last visited the UAE when he returned from the UK in October last year. He extended his planned trip by two days, taking a detour through the UAE. The trip to the UAE was what he called a personal visit.
The Chief Minister and selected Cabinet colleagues are expected to fly to the US and Saudi Arabia in June and September this year to attend the Kerala State Assembly (LKS) sessions in the two countries. The decision to hold two sessions of the LKS amid an extreme financial crisis has drawn harsh criticism from opposition parties. Both subcommittees are chaired by the Chief Secretary to ensure the smooth running of both activities.
The LKS regional meeting was held in London last October with Vijayan and other ministers including P Rajeeve, V Sivankutty and Winner George.
