History of World Homeopathy Day:

Dr. Samuel Hahnemann, the founder of homeopathy, was born in Paris on April 10, 1755. In the process of practicing medicine, he discovered that in order to treat a patient’s disease, he must take the ingredients that cause the symptoms of the disease.

He developed the principle of “similia similibus curentur” in the late 18th century, meaning “to let like cure”. Therefore, homeopathy works on the principle of “homeopathy”.

This year will be the 268th anniversary of Dr. Hahnemann’s birth.

World Homeopathy Day Significance:

Homeopathy is a holistic approach that involves substances that stimulate the body’s natural healing processes.

The day aims to raise awareness of the effectiveness of homeopathy in treating various health conditions. It has been used for centuries to treat ailments such as allergies, asthma, depression or anxiety. Homeopathic medicines are made from natural ingredients such as minerals, plants and animals.

The day aims to raise awareness of homeopathy as a medical system and to work to increase its practice.

World Homeopathy Day theme:

Each year a specific theme is chosen to celebrate World Homeopathy Day. This year’s theme is “One Health, One Family”. It aims to promote homeopathic treatment for people through neighborhood family doctors.

The Central Committee for Homeopathic Research under the Ministry of AYUSH will celebrate the occasion with an event on Monday. Last year, the theme of World Homeopathy Day was “Homeopathy: People’s Choice for Health”.

Several projects and events based on these themes are carried out around the world to raise awareness about homeopathy and its medicines.

Homeopathy in India:

Homeopathy is one of the most widely practiced and popular medical systems in the country. India is one of the largest manufacturers and traders of homeopathic medicines in the world. Homeopathy is as popular in India as Ayurveda and both are under the purview of the Ministry of AYUSH.
