ABU DHABI, 10th April, 2023 (WAM) — Team UAE was crowned champion in the UAE Pro League Sponsors Tournament held at Mandarin Oriental, Emirates Palace, Abu Dhabi on 7th April.
The UAE Pro League team finished second after losing to the UAE on penalties in the final, while ADNOC finished third.
Abdulla Naser Al Jneibi, Chairman of the UAE Professional League, presented the winners in front of representatives of the television rights holders.
In addition to fans of the participating teams, board members of the UAE Pro League and many guests were also in attendance.
Teams from ADNOC, Abu Dhabi Islamic Bank (ADIB), Emirates, Emirates Palace Company, Rixos Hotels, Rasasi, Al Nabooda Automobiles and UAE Pro League participated in the one-day tournament.
Al Jneibi spoke during a Suhoor party organized by the UAE Pro League for match participants and guests following the coronation, saying: “We appreciate your pioneering social role and your passion for solidifying sport as a sustainable way of life , and work to push our partnership into a broader perspective.”
The UAE Pro League wishes to continue to engage with its distinguished and successful partners within the framework of community activities, with the aim of widening the bridge of cooperation with these renowned institutions, promoting sports activities and strengthening their long-term cooperation.
