ABU DHABI, 11th April, 2023 (WAM) — Etihad Airways has announced that it will increase its flights to Toronto, following the recent expansion of the air services agreement between the UAE and Canada.
On May 30, Etihad Airways will add a new weekly flight between Abu Dhabi and Toronto on the basis of the current six flights per week, providing passengers with daily transfer services.
“Etihad Airways is delighted to launch a daily flight between Abu Dhabi and Toronto, which has become one of our busiest in 2023 due to the rapid recovery and continued growth in travel demand between the UAE and Canada ,” said chief revenue officer Arik De, an Etihad Airways official.
“Our daily service will provide business and leisure travelers, Canadian expatriates and the large number of Emirati students studying at Canada’s world-class universities with convenient weekly flight options.
“We thank the government and civil aviation authorities for laying the groundwork for us to strengthen air links between our two countries, which is critical for tourism, trade and our bilateral relationship.”
This year marks the 18th anniversary of Etihad Airways’ service to Toronto since October 2005. The airline has an interline agreement with WestJet and a codeshare agreement with Air Canada, allowing passengers to seamlessly connect from Toronto to more than 15 destinations.

Visitors can explore its iconic landmarks, such as the CN Tower—one of more than 80 skyscrapers in the city—as well as the Royal Ontario Museum and the Art Gallery of Ontario.
