Phoenix CityScape and Norterra developers will collaborate to create a high-end Goodyear food and entertainment complex.
RED Development announced today that it will partner with Scottsdale-based Globe Corp to design and build a sprawling 150-acre entertainment district east of Goodyear’s new City Hall GSQ.
The entertainment and cultural center will offer high-end dining, retail, residential, hotel and entertainment facilities. With more than half a million residents within a 10-mile radius of GSQ, the project is expected to thrive and provide much-needed entertainment to a city that has grown 45 percent over the past decade.
No financial terms or cost of the deal were disclosed.
RED Development is helping to revitalize downtown Phoenix with CityScape, an entertainment hub featuring high-end restaurants like Chico Malo and Stand Up Live, where top comedians perform. The center is also home to designer sports retailers such as Urban Outfitters and Orange Theory Fitness, a boutique social gym.
“We couldn’t resist partnering with Globe Corp. to build on their impressive success with this project,” said Mike Ebert, RED’s Managing Partner. “The City of Goodyear is also an extraordinary partner, sharing our vision for a vibrant, upscale destination that will fundamentally improve the way residents live, work and play in Goodyear.”
Construction on the GSQ is scheduled to begin in 2024, with a coordination announcement expected later this year.
