Showmanship is a central theme at Stanton Social Prime, a restaurant sure to land on multiple “best of” lists by the end of the year. An offshoot of Manhattan’s popular Stanton Social, a collaboration between Caesars Entertainment and Tao Group Hospitality, this restaurant is astonishing in its decor, service and food.
The sense of exclusivity here is immediate the moment you step inside. Rockwell Group’s design evokes lavish costume design (red, blue and gold motifs) and dressing rooms (decorative paneling in two private dining rooms). Whether you’re sitting at the dining table or at the 10-seat bar, the feel of the space immediately makes you want to celebrate.
And what better way to celebrate than with a pre-dinner cocktail? The Black Regiment continues the show, made with Bulleit rye, Carpano Antica vermouth, Amaro Montenegro and cinnamon, and served in a bottle! If you’re driving, the zero-proof (and delicious) Strawberry Rhodes more than meets Kin Euphorics High Rhode, Strawberry Puree, Elderflower, and Lemon Juice.
Now you’re ready for some real cooking fun! Appetizers include the famous French onion soup ravioli (topped with Gruyère cheese and garlic croutons) and the “Al Pastor” yellowtail crudo (featuring grilled pineapple, cilantro, lime and pineapple orange), as well as Dumplings made with potatoes, goat cheese and truffles. Smoked butter platters enhance the antipasto bread, and sourdough baguettes can be served with Thumbelina crudites and Maldon sea flakes.
Steak menu rules! All cuts are seasoned with a house-made dry rub, rested in Beurre de Baratte, and finished with pink Himalayan salt. We recommend Pretty in Pink, a 10-ounce filet mignon served with a pink pepper sauce and pink oyster mushrooms. All sauces are dispensed from vintage perfume bottles with matching names. (How can you not order a bottle of Chanterelle No. 5?) Don’t forget sides like the Dirty Tots with caviar and lobster crème fraiche.
