The two sides agreed to hold the next round of consultations in Brazzaville at a mutually convenient date

The friendly relationship between India and the Republic of China can be traced back to the pre-independence era of the Republic of China.

Our bilateral relationship has been further strengthened with the opening of our Permanent Mission in Brazzaville in 2019. Bilateral trade has been growing steadily, from $527 million in 2018-19 to $1.47 billion in 2021-22, read the press release.

India provided three Lines of Credit (LoCs) worth $214.9 million to the Republic of China for rural electrification, transport system development and cement plant construction.

India is also supporting ROC capacity building by providing training to Congolese officials in various fields under ITEC and scholarships/fellowships under ICCR. (Arnie)
