ABU DHABI, 15th April, 2023 (WAM) — The UAE Ministry of Industry and Advanced Technology, MoIAT, will lead the UAE delegation to this year’s Hannover, the world’s largest industrial trade fair, to be held in Hannover from 17th to 21st April Industrial Fair, Germany.
The delegation will host roundtable discussions with the private sector and participate in panel discussions to highlight the UAE’s value proposition as a global industrial hub, encouraging future investment.
The UAE delegation to Hannover Messe is comprised of MoIAT, Abu Dhabi Department of Economic Development (ADDED), ADNOC Group, Abu Dhabi Investment Office, KEZAD Group and Dubai Industry City. The stand showcased the UAE as a key industrial hub offering solutions to the industry’s global challenges, such as talent acquisition, supply chain challenges and climate neutrality.
The roundtable, titled “Made in the UAE: UAE as a Global Industrial Hub”, will be chaired by MoIAT Undersecretary Omar Al Suwaidi, as well as partners from the Ministry, and German and European companies will be present at the roundtable. The roundtable will shed light on the UAE’s industrial ecosystem and growth vision; how German companies can benefit from partnering with UAE entities and benefit from the incentives available to investors. The roundtable will also highlight how industrial investors can benefit from offtake offered by national champions to reduce their investment risk.
The UAE delegation will chair a panel session titled ‘UAE, Solutions to Global Challenges’. This session will highlight the UAE’s industrial value propositions and drivers, including green financing, certified green energy supply, robust regulatory infrastructure, access to markets through a growing number of free trade agreements, and more.
Throughout Hannover Messe, as part of the UAE delegation, MoIAT aims to promote the UAE as an industrial hub and attractive investment destination. Under its ‘Made in UAE’ programme, MoIAT is looking to attract local and international investors, facilitate collaboration opportunities, and showcase the potential of manufacturing products in the UAE. Competitive advantages include attractive financing solutions, supportive regulations and legislative institutions, low-tax business environment, skilled workforce, trading arrangements with regional and international countries, which will continue to increase the UAE’s access to markets, as well as many other industries incentives. Investors have a real opportunity to join the industrial sector journey and take advantage of the UAE’s unique investment ecosystem and incentives.
Hannover Messe welcomes 4,000 companies from all over the world, from all fields of industry including technology. The UAE plans to diversify its economy by supporting and developing the industrial sector. In order to enhance the global competitiveness of UAE industries, the country is committed to deploying advanced technologies such as robotics and artificial intelligence in industry.
In addition, the UAE’s industrial decarbonization efforts present a range of investment opportunities as part of its 2050 goal of net zero emissions. These opportunities are the result of the UAE’s heavy investment in the development of advanced technologies, paving the way for future green industries and new technologies to combat climate change, such as carbon capture.
Technology and sustainable industrial development are an important part of the UAE’s COP28 agenda. Hannover Messe represents the UAE’s platform to gather more international support for COP28 in November 2023. At Hannover Messe and at COP28, the UAE will demonstrate how it is taking a holistic, holistic – value chain approach.
