The weekend starts here…
So we’re officially halfway into April, and the end of the month means we’re a third of the way through the year. If it feels like 2023 is blowing in with a hurricane-like breeze, this is a reminder to stop, take a deep breath, and smell the roses.
Friday 14 April
farm to table
Emirates Bio Farm, the largest organic farm in the UAE, invites guests to enjoy a unique Iftar experience this Ramadan. Break your fast in the fully functioning conservatory, just steps away from where the vegetables are grown. Expect traditional dishes with a real peasant twist, such as pumpkin kebabs or beetroot muttabal. Learn all about organic farming on a tractor ride through the farm and through the fields before breaking your fast. You can even pick your own vegetables.

lotus treats you
Putting Lotus biscuits on something that already tastes good is a national pastime – so with Five Guys, a brand whose core USP is something that tastes good and customizable, it might come as a surprise to be so late to the party. But if you show up at a party with Lotus milkshakes and Five Guys artisan bakery sweets, you might just be the most popular person there. Lotus Biscoff milkshakes are now available across a network of 13 stores across the UAE.

Issa vibe
It was only a matter of time before the VIBE Cafe collective brought their trendy take to the capital. It has now been confirmed that Abu Dhabi’s newest Gram confectionary ‘Love Vibe’ will open on Friday 14th April 2023. You’ll find it in the city of Khalifa, an area known for the quality and range of culinary offerings that have exploded over the past few years. The Love Vibe bills itself as a more “mature” version of its VIBE sister – while maintaining the electronic aesthetics that are standard for these brands, other decorative elements take on a more refined look. The menu will celebrate the flair and savoir-faire of traditional Emirati cooking combined with more contemporary European influences.look at our full text more details.

Absolutely the best kebab ever
West to West Kitchen brings the humble British roast to the iconic West African and West Indian flavor town. Your “joint choice” includes roast chicken and roast lamb, with sides including jollof rice; rice and peas; macaroni cheese; baked potatoes and plantains. The side dishes offered were Yorkshire pudding, roasted vegetables and West to West gravy. There are a few ways to build a kebab combo – but the combo deal made the most sense to us (Dhs79 for a big appetite, Dhs68 for a smaller one). That way you get a main meat, a side dish and all side dishes (and if you really want to go hungry on a Sunday, you can add extra side dishes on Dhs21-a-pop). The West to West Sunday Roast is only available on Sundays and due to limited availability (and high demand) you will need to book a table in advance (latest midnight on Saturdays).
