- Malaffi representatives to discuss new image exchange platform that facilitates sharing of medical images among DOH-licensed hospitals and clinics
Abu Dhabi, UAE: Malaffi, the first Health Information Exchange (HIE) in the Middle East and North Africa and a strategic initiative of the Abu Dhabi Department of Health, today announced its participation in the HIMSS23 global conference and exhibition in Chicago, USA. For the third year in a row, Malafi was selected to attend this year’s annual meeting, which took place April 17-21.
HIMSS is one of the digital health industry’s foremost global conferences, and Abu Dhabi’s participation reflects the emirate’s visionary progress in healthcare digital transformation.
Malaffi Acting CEO Robert Denson and Vice President Clinical Engagement and Informatics Dr. Sanji de Sylva will present an educational session on April 20th entitled “Abu Dhabi Healthcare Transformation: Implementing HIE-wide Image Exchange”. As part of the Technology and Interoperability track, this presentation will discuss the journey of implementing an image exchange solution as the latest advancement in the HIE platform, a platform that a handful of select HIEs worldwide are proud of. The solution enables Abu Dhabi doctors to access patient diagnostic images from different health organizations, reducing duplication, cost and unnecessary radiation while improving decision making and patient outcomes.
Robert Danson shared: “Since its launch in 2019, Malaffi has connected virtually the entire industry in Abu Dhabi.
