Dubai City Half Marathon returns for the third year – Dubai Blog

The 3rd Dubai City Half Marathon, organized in cooperation with the Dubai Sports Council, will return with an exciting return on October 15, 2021 (Friday), providing long-distance runners and fitness enthusiasts with the opportunity to participate in the classic 5 km race. And the fast 10 km, and the ultimate 21 km challenge.

In order to ensure a safe race experience and the success of the marathon, the organizers announced the main requirements and agreements related to COVID-19 to be complied with before, during and after the race.

Interested parties can register through the Promoseven website – https://www.promosevensports.com/race/mai-dubai-registration/. Registration will close on October 10.

The Dubai City Half Marathon is open to participants aged 16 and above. However, interested individuals must complete the COVID-19 vaccination before they can participate. It will also strengthen the disinfection and cleaning of all key areas and high-contact surfaces, and stagger the start time of the race to ensure the safe management of all runners.

Alexander van’t Riet, Chief Executive Officer of Mai Dubai, said: “Now is the third year, the Mai Dubai City Half Marathon will return to provide our running community in the UAE and all people pursuing a healthy life with the best and safest Outdoor activities however. We are confident in this year’s high turnout rate and expect the number of participants to exceed our previous record. Our confidence is rooted in the fact that more and more people today are constantly stepping up their efforts to live a healthy life Lifestyle.”

Similar to the previous version, the race route will start and end in front of the gate building. Runners will circle the picturesque Dubai International Financial Center, allowing them to enjoy the magnificent views of the city’s famous architectural marvels.

Mai Dubai City Half Marathon is held in cooperation with Mai Dubai; Dubai International Financial Center, official venue partner; Parachute.ae, The official e-commerce partner; and Al Laith, the official logistics partner. It is organized by Promoseven Sports Marketing.
