Residents Union Tempe 1st has issued a statement on the newly released independent economic analysis of the proposed Tempe Recreation District, which will pass or reject along with Proposals 301, 302 and 303.
The Grand Canyon Institute released an economic analysis of the project on April 17. The Arizona Coyotes project has the support of the Tempe City Council, former city officials and other stakeholders, despite criticism.
“We are pleased to finally have an unbiased economic analysis that proves what we feared – that this proposed development is a fiscal drain on Tempe and unlikely to meet the developer’s optimistic projections. Tempe residents would do well to say no This plan, so our city can start over, invites better, more responsible and more profitable projects for our land,” the release said.
Tempe 1st encourages all Tempe voters to vote no to Propositions 301, 302 and 303 when ballots are received this week and to return ballots by mail by May 9th.
