White House National Security Council spokesman John Kirby responded, “In this case, Brazil is parodying Russian and Chinese propaganda without looking at the facts.”

During the visit, Lula met with Chinese President Xi Jinping.

U.S. Secretary of State Anthony Blinken recently held talks with Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dmitro Kouleba and reiterated Washington’s commitment to “standing with Kiev as long as needed,” the State Department said.

“Secretary Blinken emphasized that Ukraine’s success is critical to peace and security in Europe and reaffirmed the United States’ commitment to stand with Ukraine as long as needed,” chief deputy spokesman Vedante Patel said in a statement.

The two leaders discussed ongoing preparations for Ukraine’s spring counteroffensive, including commitments of security assistance from allies and partners, Patel said.

The Ukrainian foreign minister shared the same message on Twitter, “During our call today, @SecBlinken reaffirmed the unwavering support of the United States and strongly rejected any attempt to question Ukraine’s ability to win on the battlefield. The United States is still Ukraine’s worth Trusted partner focused on advancing our victory and securing a just peace.”

The United States has been helping Ukraine since Russia began special military operations on February 24, 2022. (ANI)
