Foreign Minister S Jaishankar discussed the situation in violence-hit Sudan with his counterparts from Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates (UAE).
India is closely monitoring the situation in Sudan, especially given its concerns about Indians living in the African country.

“Thank you HH @ABZayed, UAE Minister of Foreign Affairs for exchanging views on the situation in Sudan. Our ongoing contacts have been helpful,” the foreign minister tweeted.
Sudan has been witnessing deadly fighting between the country’s army and paramilitary groups over the past six days, with some 100 people reportedly killed.

“Appreciate his assessment of the situation in Sudan. Will remain in close contact,” he tweeted.
