Abu Dhabi has announced that all Mawaqif surface parking spaces will be free of charge during the Eid holiday period, as will the Musaffah M-18 truck park.

The Integrated Transport Center (ITC) of the Abu Dhabi Municipality and Transport Department said that Mawaqif parking fees will be waived from Thursday, April 20 until the end of the holiday.

The city’s Darb toll system at Sheikh Khalifa, Sheikh Zayed, Al Maqta and Mussaffah bridges will be free during the holiday period starting Thursday. After the Hari Raya holiday, tolls will resume during the peak hours of 07:00 to 09:00 in the morning and 5:00 to 7:00 in the afternoon to ensure smooth flow of traffic.

The ITC urged drivers to avoid parking in restricted areas and blocking traffic. Authorities said vehicles should be parked in designated areas and drivers should avoid parking in residential parking spaces between 9:00 p.m. and 8:00 a.m.

With the Customer Happiness Center in Abu Dhabi closed for the holiday period from Thursday, April 20 until the end of the holiday, ITC said customers can use its service platform online through its website, Darbi and Darb websites and apps, and “TAMM”.

The ITC also said that customers can avail of its services by contacting the unified service support center of the Ministry of Municipalities and Transport at 800850 or calling the taxi call center at 600535353 to request the 24/7 service.

Public bus services in Abu Dhabi will operate on a regular schedule during Eid, with additional regional bus services based on demand. Likewise, the transport authority has coordinated with private sector operators to increase the number of intercity bus services in a manner commensurate with the expected increase in service demand.

ITC also noted that the “Abu Dhabi Express” and “Abu Dhabi Link” bus services will operate during Eid from 6:00 am to 11:00 pm.
