in a recent episode American idol, One of the judges, Katy Perry, was booed by the live audience in Hawaii.
The Hot N Cold singer was booed for her negative feedback on contestant Nutsa Buzaladze. Perry suggested that Buzaladze should try to tone down her performances, as they tend to be too energetic and overly flashy.
“Nutsa, every time you walk on stage, it’s like you’re shining on stage,” Perry advises top 26 hopefuls American idol.
“Listen, I think one of the things I personally want to see from you isn’t a sparkle next time. I know it’s going to be hard.”
Despite the crowd’s poor reaction, Perry stood by her feedback, explaining that she wanted to see another side of Buzaradze’s artistry, reports alien.
“Well, for the first time in six seasons, whoosh,” she says, brushing the sarcasm aside. She then explained to Buzaladze what she meant. “I mean, I wish you would change the script. I think we want to be drawn to our hearts too. I’d love to see that, and I think America might as well.”
However, contestant Buzaladze admits that she tends to be full of energy during performances and struggles to balance.
