Tesla receives massive fleet orders from UAE

[ad_1]

Tesla has secured a large order for the Model 3 from Arabia Taxi Dubai, a UAE taxi company, helping the company reduce its carbon footprint.

It is undeniable that Tesla’s retail consumption pressure is great. Still, the automaker is gaining popularity in the business world, especially with customers looking to reduce operating costs while reducing their carbon footprint. These orders mainly come from ride-hailing companies and car rental services. Now, a Dubai-based taxi company is also looking to take advantage of the cuts.

According to an announcement from Arabia Taxi Dubai, it will buy 269 Tesla Model 3s to be part of its fleet of taxis in the United Arab Emirates. Currently, Arabia Taxi claims to be the largest taxi fleet in the capital of the country and one of the largest in the country. With this new purchase, it looks like it will double its lead.

Neither Niether Arabia Taxi nor its CEO has publicly announced the value of the deal they signed with Tesla.

In addition to growing the business, company owner Sheikh Majid bin Hamad Al Qasimi wants to achieve the company’s environmental goals faster than ever. Currently, Arabia Taxi aims to operate 100% “green vehicles” by 2027, which already account for 83% of its fleet. It should be noted that this includes mild hybrid and PHEV vehicles. The Chief hopes to achieve 100% electrification soon, possibly paired with hydrogen vehicles.

Today’s taxi fleet order is one of countless fleet orders Tesla has received, but it’s no surprise that the U.S. automaker’s electric vehicle offerings are attracting significant commercial interest.According to another fleet customer, Hertz, he has Billion-dollar orders placed with Teslanot only has it benefited greatly from dramatically lower operating costs, but it has also benefited from interest from consumers, who especially love the opportunity to use and interact with Tesla vehicles.

Tesla isn’t the only automaker catching on to commercial demand for electric vehicles. Other notable fleet orders even include some of the biggest retail giants on the planet. Both Walmart and Amazon are currently trying to move quickly to electric vehicles and are doing so by partnering with myriad manufacturers, including startups like Canoo and Rivian as well as Ford and General Motors.

As Tesla prepares to ramp up its lineup soon, one of the key customers the leading EV seller will be looking to address is commercial fleet buyers, most notably Production of electric vans and busesHowever, with such massive investments by traditional manufacturers, Tesla will need to work quickly to bring its competitors to market.
