Manchester City Abu Dhabi Cup returns in 2024

Abu Dhabi: The Manchester City Abu Dhabi Cup returns in February 2024, continuing the success of this year’s competition.

The Abu Dhabi Cup is a youth football tournament hosted by Manchester City that welcomes players from all over the world and of all abilities to Abu Dhabi and aims to develop and inspire young people.

Launched in 2017, the tournament has grown in size and this year’s event – held for the first time since 2019 due to the pandemic – attracted global attention, with more than 1,700 players from 13 countries on four continents participating, including Players from Manchester Metropolitan Academy) England) and 6,000 spectators attended.

Over 1,000 goals have been scored in 400 games on this year’s Championship pitch, while off the pitch, families and players can enjoy live entertainment, screenings of Premier League matches and fun events at the Urban Village.

The match will take place at the Zayed City Stadium on the weekend of 17-18 February.

The age groups for the 2024 Championships are:

Boys: Under 8, Under 10, Under 12, Under 14 and Under 16

Girls: Under 12, Under 14 and Under 16

Talal Al Hashemi, Executive Director of Sports Development at Abu Dhabi Sports Council, said: “We are always trying to improve on past events and 2024 will be no exception. good chance.”
