The University of Manchester Middle East Center in Dubai has enrolled its latest (January 2023) Middle East cohort of almost 90 new students and all experienced working professionals on the Manchester part-time MBA programme.

These programs include the Global Part-Time MBA, the Accelerated MBA in Finance and the Global Executive MBA. About two-thirds of the new cohort live in the UAE and Saudi Arabia, with Saudi nationals alone making up the largest nationality group among the new cohort (more than one-third of the total).

The university has two part-time MBA intakes each year (January and July) and the Middle East Center is the largest and fastest growing center in the university’s network of international centres.

The students then embarked on their first MBA seminar, led by a visiting professor from Manchester.

On welcoming the new students, Bessiso said: “It is a pleasure to welcome new MBA students, to have the opportunity to network and team-build with current MBA students and alumni, to share experiences, and to have the opportunity to learn more about our students, our alumni and what we do for our students. The careers services offered. The Middle East Center is also delighted to welcome such a strong student body (citizens and residents) from Saudi Arabia, where we already have a vibrant and growing student and alumni community, and operate in partnership with ties with local and international companies. The MBA experience and acquired new skills are critical to a dynamic and transformative Saudi economy that is attracting global attention and creating outstanding career opportunities for technology professionals.”

two year plan

The University of Manchester’s Global Part-time MBA is a two-year program with the option to further accelerate your study, with the same amount of face-to-face time with faculty as most full-time programmes. The program is structured around four practical themes – Practice Management; Business Value Creation; Customizing Your Journey; Business Expertise; and offers options for further customization. An accelerated learning track allows senior executives to complete the program in 18 months. For candidates with professional accountancy qualifications, there is an 18-month accelerated financing pathway option.

The Middle East has grown to be the largest and fastest growing center in the University’s international network, which includes five hubs in major business cities around the world. It is also the most diverse, with students from 105 countries. Since its inception in 2006, the Middle East Center has supported 3,200 part-time master’s students in the region and graduated approximately 2,100.

The University of Manchester is ranked among the top 50 universities in the world and is one of the world’s leading universities making an impact on the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals. — trade arab news agency
