The Philippine Embassies and Consulates in the UAE have announced that they will be closed on Monday, May 1 in observance of the Labor Day holiday in the country.

In its briefing, the Philippine embassy said it will be open from 7:30 am to 1 pm on Saturday, May 6, in lieu of a one-day closure.

Services available to expats include:

  • Apply/Renew Passport
  • -Notarization/authentication of documents
  • Birth registration, marriage registration, etc.
  • -apply for visa
  • Overseas Voter Registration/Reactivation

The Philippine Consulate General in Dubai and the Northern Emirates will also be closed to the public on May 1.

It lists some hotlines that Filipinos can call when they need emergency assistance. Expats can call +971 4 220 7100; for assistance on state affairs they can contact +971 56 501 5756 or +971 56 501 5755.
