Prince Harry’s lawyers claim the Sun newspaper tapped calls between King Charles and Queen Camilla in the 1990s. The allegations are part of Prince Harry’s case against the newspaper’s publisher, News Corp Newspapers (NGN). Lawyers for Prince Harry are concerned that if the calls are intercepted, Harry’s private information could also be at risk. Nonetheless, NGN denied all allegations and filed an application to have the claim dismissed.
Prince Harry’s lawyer, David Sherborne, said, “The plaintiff will rely on these instances to support his argument that an unavoidable and/or intended consequence of these interceptions is that his own private information would consequently be intercepted because his The father was communicating or receiving private information regarding the claimant’s education, health and welfare.”
Prince Harry’s lawyers also accused NGN of intercepting calls from Prince Harry’s late mother, Princess Diana. During the hearing, Prince Harry claimed that there was an agreement between Buckingham Palace and NGN that prevented him from pursuing the case earlier.

He said he only learned about the deal in 2012. In a separate statement submitted to the court, Prince Harry claimed that his older brother William had allegedly settled with NGN for a “huge sum” in 2020.
