UAE to participate in annual meeting of Federation of Arab Financial Institutions

ABU DHABI – The United Arab Emirates will participate in the annual joint meeting of Arab financial institutions in Rabat, Morocco, on April 29 to discuss ways to overcome the development challenges facing the Arab region.

Mohammed bin Hadi Al Husseini, UAE Minister of Finance, will lead the UAE delegation, which will include Khalid Mohammed Al-Baramah, Governor of the UAE Central Bank; Younis Haji Al Khoori, Deputy Minister of Finance; CBUAE Monetary Policy and Stability Ibrahim Obaid Al Zaabi, Assistant Governor of the Ministry, and some experts from the Ministry and CBUAE.

Al Hussaini emphasized the importance of these meetings, which provide a strong platform for exchanging views and discussing the most salient financial and economic themes and developments in the Arab region.

“The UAE participated in the meeting because the country is eager to open avenues for constructive dialogue with several Arab countries and share expertise and successful experiences in the economic and financial fields. This is in addition to developing sustainable development plans and strategies to strengthen the position of the Arab region And boost their economies to build a better future for their people and future generations,” he noted.

Husseini and the delegation will attend the annual meeting. These include the 52nd Annual Meeting of the Council of the Arab Economic and Social Development Fund, the 46th Annual Meeting of the Council of the Arab Monetary Fund (AMF), the 47th Annual Meeting of the Arab Banking Council, the African Economic Development Committee, the Arab Investment and Export Credit 50th Meeting of Shareholders Council of Guarantee Company, 47th Annual Meeting of Shareholders Committee of Arab Agricultural Investment and Development Authority, 14th Regular Session of Arab Investment and Export Credit Guarantee Company Council of Arab Finance Ministers.

The Arab Ministers of Finance and Economy, the Governor of the Arab Central Bank, the heads of Arab financial institutions and several representatives of regional and international organizations, as well as experts in the field of finance and economics will participate in the previous meeting.
