IPL 2021: Ticket prices announced when fans return to UAE Stadium-News

[ad_1]

A limited number of fully vaccinated fans will be allowed to participate in UAE matches

The Indian Premier League (IPL) will restart in the UAE on September 19. The defending champion Mumbai Indians will face the Chennai Super Kings in the first game.

Since the outbreak of the Covid-19 pandemic, the restoration of the world’s largest T20 league will also allow cricket fans to return to the UAE Stadium for the first time.

The three stadiums in Dubai, Abu Dhabi and Sharjah will allow a limited number of fully vaccinated fans to watch the game.

Due to the limited number of seats available for fans in the three stadiums, those who want to watch the live broadcast must pay Dh200 for most matches in Dubai and Sharjah.

The minimum price for tickets to the Sharjah Stadium is 200 dirhams, especially for large-scale matches of top teams.

At the same time, tickets for Abu Dhabi will be much cheaper, and when the IPL resumes, Abu Dhabi will host eight games.

Compared with Dubai and Sharjah, Abu Dhabi fans can watch an IPL game for only Dh60.

Tickets for the game have been sold on the official website www.iplt20.com. Tickets can also be purchased on PlatinumList.net.

The authorities established a strict Covid-19 protocol to allow fans to return to the IPL stadium.

“As the host, UAE Cricket is happy to welcome fans back to our stadium. Without the early actions and continued efforts of the UAE authorities, it would be impossible to drastically reduce and manage the spread of Covid-19,” Mubash Hill Usmani said, Secretary-General of the UAE Cricket Committee.

“We have strict agreements approved by the UAE authorities to allow fans to watch the game live, including restriction and allocation of seats and the required Covid negative test. Each stadium and its operating team will implement and abide by these agreements.”

At the same time, Matt Boucher, CEO of Abu Dhabi Cricket, stated that they are happy to safely welcome the return of IPL fans.

“We are very happy to be able to host the VIVO Indian Premier League in Abu Dhabi, and we are very happy to be able to safely welcome fans to the Zayed Cricket Ground before the start of the exciting season, which also includes the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup and our third “Abu Dhabi T10 version of firecrackers,” Boucher said.

“The cricket fans are very special. Over the past 18 months, we have missed having this unique noise and passion in our stadium. We are very grateful to BCCI for their trust in Abu Dhabi and our local partners, who have continued The excellent team of the Abu Dhabi Sports Commission takes the lead.”
