With the opening of “The World’s Greatest Show” on October 1, Dubai is preparing to welcome an influx of tourists from all over the world.
During the six-month period ending March 31, 2022, the UAE is expected to receive more than 25 million local and foreign tourists to participate in Expo 2020 Dubai. Many agents who are authorized ticket dealers for events are planning special Expo packages to meet demand.
Musafir.com is one of many authorized distributors. Group Chief Operating Officer Raheesh Babu said that this online travel agency has many packages in preparation.
“We created several packages, such as four nights and five days, so that people can visit and experience Dubai, and they can also participate in the Expo for one day,” Rashish said Khaliji Times.
“The pricing of the package depends on the reliability of the flight. Excluding air tickets, a small family package that includes accommodation in a four-star hotel, including sightseeing, costs 2,000 to 3,000 dirhams on average,” he added.
Focus on family
Babu said his company focuses on families.
“We created family packages and we focused on the Indian market. We also received inquiries from Indians living in Qatar,” Babu said.
Raheesh predicts that once airfare prices drop, demand for Expo packages will surge in mid-October.
“We expect it to pick up in the second week of October. This is the beginning of the World Expo, and climate factors must be considered. Another factor is that the current price of air tickets from India is very high and will continue until around October 10th. . Airfare prices are expected to drop afterwards,” Babu said.
“As of now, we have received enquiries that tourists are waiting for the ticket price to drop further so that they can travel by mid-October or the end of October. Hotel prices are expected to increase by 60% to 75% in early October,” he added.
Package for everyone
Galadari International Travel Services is also one of the authorized air ticket distributors. MICE and vacation manager Mir Wasim Raja said that they provide tailor-made packages for everyone.
“Our package starts at US$395 for four nights and five days. It includes hotel accommodation, breakfast, hotel pick-up, Expo pass and sightseeing attractions. Packages will vary according to the type of attractions selected by tourists. Some people may choose desert tours, Dhow cruise, newly opened Dubai Al Ain, Global Village, etc.” Raja said.
“We plan to launch our package next week,” he added.
TP Sudheesh, general manager of Deira Tours and Travels, stated that they will officially launch their package early this week.
Sudheesh said: “We still have a special package, and we will officially confirm it on Sunday.”
“The package will include visas, hotels, Expo passes and stays in three-, four- or five-star hotels. However, the ticket will be different. If they depart from India on October 1st, the fare will be high, but We expect fares to drop in the coming weeks,” he added.
Another authorized ticket dealer, ICL Tours & Travels LLC, offers packages of four nights and five days, starting at AED 2,100.
