This fall, Abu Dhabi will host two NBA games.
The National Basketball Association (NBA) and the Abu Dhabi Department of Culture and Tourism have teamed up to bring the Dallas Mavericks and Minnesota Timberwolves to the UAE.
The 2023 NBA Abu Dhabi Games will feature two preseason games on October 5 and October 7 at the Etihad Arena on Yas Island.

It will be broadcast live on beIN SPORTS, Sports Channel and NBA League Pass in the UAE and in the Middle East and North Africa.
Fans in more than 200 countries are expected to be reached.
The games and related activities will be supported by marketing partners including Experience Abu Dhabi, Gatorade, Nike and Tissot.
The 2023 NBA Abu Dhabi Games is part of a multi-year partnership between the NBA and DCT Abu Dhabi.
It was the first NBA game in the Arabian Gulf, following last year’s game between the Atlanta Hawks and Milwaukee Bucks.
In January, the NBA and DCT Abu Dhabi launched an expanded version of the second season of the Jr. NBA Abu Dhabi League, featuring leagues for boys and girls aged 11-14 from schools across the UAE capital.
The partnership also includes a variety of interactive fan events featuring appearances by current and former NBA players.
DCT Abu Dhabi, a division of Experience Abu Dhabi, is the official destination partner of the NBA in the Middle East, North Africa, Europe and China.
NBA games have been broadcast in the UAE since the 1987-88 season.
