Hertz UAE leads the way in EVs and digital transformation in the country’s car rental industry

BYD is the world’s leading new energy vehicle manufacturer and has sold nearly 3 million new energy vehicles so far; the brand was recently introduced to the UAE with Al-Futtaim Automotive as its regional distributor.

Hertz UAE plans to further electrify the range, which is a clear statement as they have the most diverse car rental service on the market – from small sedans to luxury full-size SUVs, from commercial pickups to large passenger vehicles. Today, 70% of new business opportunities come from digital channels, while online bookings have almost doubled since the platform’s launch.

Hertz will be participating in Arabian Travel Market 2023, the region’s leading travel event, and this year’s theme is Net Zero Tourism.

Hertz UAE was also in attendance at the event, showcasing the all-new all-electric Polestar 2 for its fleet partners and sharing how they are localizing Hertz’s global sustainable mobility strategy. For two weeks starting May 1, Hertz UAE will showcase its Drive Green service at The Zone, Al-Futtaim’s new automotive experience centre, showcasing cutting-edge electric and hybrid vehicles including the Polestar 2 and Volvo XC40 in City Walk Boulevard, Building 10.
