BUCKHANNON – The West Virginia Strawberry Festival has announced its exciting entertainment program for Thursday, Friday and Saturday, May 18-20. With a variety of musical styles, festival goers can look forward to a weekend full of performances on the Jawbone Park Stage and West Virginia Citizens Bank Stage.
The weekend of entertainment follows a new addition to the festival for 2023 — Wednesday’s Strawberry Shindig, featuring the West Virginia Sound.Read about the event Click here.
The weekend of entertainment kicks off at Jawbone Park on Thursday, May 18 at 8pm, following the Junior Royal Parade and local bluegrass sensation Bluegrass Sanctuary. The band from Buckhannon will get audiences on their feet to the best the bluegrass genre has to offer.
On Friday, May 19, at 8pm, the stage at Jawbone Park will welcome rock cover band From the Edge, members of East Tennessee and South Virginia, who regularly perform at Blake Shelton’s “Ole Red” restaurant, bringing Nashville Country and South Rock to Buckhannon.
Following From the Edge, local favorite Buckshot will perform country and rock music on the “Little Kanawha” stage at 8:30 p.m.
The excitement continues on Saturday, May 20th with the Stone Creek Band from North Central Virginia throwing an evening street party on the Jawbone Park Stage at 5 p.m.
At 8:30 p.m., singer Stevie Lynn, 23, of Wheeling, West Virginia, will perform Loretta Lynn, Patsy Cline, Hit songs by Miranda and others, Stevie Lynn has written for Florida Georgia Line, Aaron Tippin, Dylan Scott Entertainers such as Dylan Scott and Chase Bryant opened with Lambert and others on stage at Jawbone Park.
The “Big Spring” stage will feature Reid Boys Jack and Davis Reid, grandsons of the legendary Statler brothers, on Saturday at 5pm. The duo will entertain with an engrossing performance that will make the audience laugh, cheer, and maybe even shed a tear.
The Kowboyz from Gassaway, WV will bring their mix of Southern rock and country to the “Kanawha” stage on Saturday, May 20 at 7:30pm
Finally, talented musician Spencer Hatcher with 45 million views on social media will perform classic country, new country and bluegrass with a little Johnny Cash on the “Spring” stage Saturday at 8 p.m. .
