DC Aviation Al-Futtaim FBO Receives IS-BAH Stage 3 Certification

DC Aviation Al-Futtaim, a leading business aviation service provider, has achieved International Standard for Business Aircraft Handling (IS-BAH) Phase 3 certification for its Fixed Base Operations (FBO) in Dubai South.

DCAF achieved Phase 1 accreditation in May 2019 and Phase 2 accreditation in January 2021.

With Phase 3 accreditation, DCAF is one of only two FBOs in the Middle East and one of 27 organizations worldwide to receive the highest security standards set by IS-BAH, which verifies that security management activities are fully integrated into the business and actively safety culture is ongoing.

The certification process involves a comprehensive audit of DCAF’s FBO safety management system, emergency and safety procedures, organizational structure, training protocols and operating procedures, conducted by independent auditors from the International Business Aviation Council (IBAC).

“At DCAF, we are fully committed to delivering the highest level of safety standards and industry best practices. It is front and center in everything we do,” said Christopher Eden, DCAF Director of Ground Operations.

“During this audit, our commitment to continuous improvement of safety management activities and a positive safety culture was demonstrated and validated, resulting in IS-BAH Stage 3 certification. The successful completion of the Stage 3 audit was the result of all relevant teams working around the clock The result of hard work and continued support from management,” he added.

Stewart Macpherson, who carried out the IS-BAH inspection audit, said: “We can now add DC Aviation Al-Futtaim as part of the elite group of FBOs to achieve Phase 3 (the highest level) registration with IS-BAH. They should be very proud, Because it’s a remarkable achievement that doesn’t come easily.

“Their team’s dedication to fully integrating the Safety Management System (SMS) into all areas of the organization reflects the high priority the company places on safety as a top priority in its business model.
