Emirates partners with Bahrain and Zambia tourism boards

Emirates signed two agreements on the final day of the Arabian Travel Market (ATM), forming partnerships with the Bahrain Tourism Exhibition Board and the Zambia Tourism Board to increase visitor numbers to each country.

Emirates will support the Kingdom of Bahrain’s new four-year tourism strategy (2022-2026), which aims to attract 14.1 million tourists by 2026. Emirates currently operates 21 weekly Boeing 777 flights to Bahrain, providing a convenient schedule for travelers wishing to travel to Bahrain connecting Bahrain via Dubai.

Emirates and the Bahrain Tourism and Exhibitions Board will explore opportunities to expand the Kingdom’s appeal in key markets such as Japan, South Korea, Spain, Hungary and Poland, and to expand its popularity around it as a short weekend getaway for people from The following countries offer exciting attractions for travelers in Israel and the United Arab Emirates.

The Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed by Adnan Kazim, Emirates Chief Commercial Officer, and Fatima Bint Jaffer Al Sairafi, Minister of Tourism and Chairman of the Bahrain Tourism and Exhibition Authority. Also present at the signing ceremony were Sheikh Majid Al Mualla, Emirates Senior Vice President, International Affairs; Adil Al Ghaith, Senior Vice President, Commercial Operations, Gulf, Middle East and Central Asia; and Reema al Marzooqi, Emirates Regional Manager Bahrain.

Bahrain offers a wide variety of attractions to suit the different interests of tourists. The country is known for its wide range of accommodation options, from luxurious five-star hotels to affordable boutique hotels and resorts. Sports enthusiasts can enjoy watching high-speed racing at the Bahrain International Circuit, or relax on one of the many picturesque beaches scattered throughout the Kingdom of Bahrain. Meanwhile, history buffs can explore Bahrain’s rich heritage, which includes the remains of ancient civilizations dating back 5,000 years.

Emirates and the Zambia Tourism Board will jointly explore opportunities to increase visitor numbers to Zambia, leveraging Emirates’ extensive global network of 140 destinations.

The MoU was signed by Badr Abbas, Emirates Senior Vice President, Commercial Operations Africa, and Matongo Matamwandi, Chief Executive Officer, Zambia Tourism Authority (ZTA).

Through this partnership, both parties will explore ways to collaborate on key initiatives to promote the Zambian experience and increase the destination’s profile across the Emirates network. Both parties will also consider launching various advertising and marketing campaigns to attract inbound tourists to Zambia.

Emirates began operating to Zambia in 2012 and has expanded the route over the years, offering daily services seven times a week. – trade arab news agency
