London [United Kingdom]May 6 (ANI): Vice President Jagdeep Dankar interacted with the Israeli, Brazilian and Italian presidents at the King Charles III reception at Buckingham Palace in the United Kingdom on Saturday.

“Honorable Vice President Shri Jagdeep Dhankhar interacted with Brazilian President HE Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva at King Charles III’s reception at Buckingham Palace,” the Indian Vice President said in a tweet.

Jagdeep Dhankhar and his wife Sudesh Dhankhar arrived in London on Friday for the coronation of King Charles III. King Charles III’s coronation is scheduled for May 6, eight months after he ascended the throne.

Denhall interacted with leaders Friday at a Commonwealth reception hosted by King Charles III at Marlborough Palace in London.

In a photo of the vice president shared on India’s official Twitter account, Denhal can be seen meeting Nigerian President Muhammadu Buhari and other world leaders.

Arindam Bagchi tweeted: “Vice President Jagdeep Dhankhar @VPIndia met King Charles III and conveyed his greetings on the occasion of his coronation. The Vice President reiterated his commitment to further strengthening the India-UK Comprehensive Strategic Partnership.”

Arindam Bagchi, official spokesperson for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, said in a tweet, “Vice President Jagdeep Dhankhar @VPIndia joined Commonwealth leaders at a special event hosted by King Charles III at Marlborough Palace in London. The Commonwealth institutions are stronger and more focused.”

Services at the coronation will be presided over by the Archbishop of Canterbury. The event will mark nearly seven decades since Queen Elizabeth II was last crowned in 1953.

Buckingham Palace announced in a statement that King Charles III and Camilla will march from Buckingham Palace to Westminster Abbey in what is known as the “King’s Procession”.

After the funeral, King Charles III and Camilla will return to Buckingham Palace in a larger ceremonial procession, known as the “Coronation Procession”. Other royals will join King Charles III and Camilla.

The king and queen will appear on the balcony, accompanied by members of the royal family, to end the day’s ceremonial activities.

Recently, the United Kingdom recently issued an invitation to the international community, including India, to participate in the coronation ceremony.

British High Commissioner to India Alex Ellis called on Vice President Jagdeep Dhankar to discuss preparations for the coronation of King Charles III at Westminster Abbey on May 2.
