The UAE Armed Forces National Team (AFNT) continued its winning streak at the Mubadala Arena in Zayed Sports City on the second day of the final leg of the 2022-2023 Abu Dhabi Grand Slam Jiu-Jitsu World Tour record.
Brilliant performance on the mat at the Masters, AFNT wins. Commando Group was second and Sharjah Self Defense Sports Club was third.

The team’s offense and counterattack cooperated properly, winning key points for the team and remaining unbeaten throughout the game. Commando Group and Sharjah Self-Defense ranked second and third respectively.
On the opening day of the championship, the youth group competed. The Sharjah Self-Defense Sports Club performed well, overtaking Al Ain in second and Bani Yas in third to take first place.
Following the competition, an awards ceremony was held and the three winning clubs were each selected as the ‘Best Academy’ in their division.
“The Grand Slam Jiu-Jitsu Championship in Abu Dhabi marks the finale of this season’s world tour, passing through Rio de Janeiro, Miami, Sydney and London to Abu Dhabi, the Jiu-Jitsu capital of the world,” said UAE and Asian Jiu-Jitsu Federation said Secretary-General Fahad Ali Al Shamsi.
“This demonstrates the UAE’s role in spreading the sport, producing champions and cementing its supremacy in hosting the most prestigious World Jiu-Jitsu Championships, to the acclaim of the world.”
