Abu Dhabi: Emirates expressed optimism for a strong recovery next summer, with load factors on a large number of flights across its global network of destinations.
The Dubai-based international airline has revealed it will add five new Airbus A380s to its summer flight schedule to serve more routes as customer demand continues to grow in the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic.
Emirates Chief Commercial Officer Adnan Kazim confirmed that customer demand remains strong and that 2023 is expected to be a year of strong recovery, surpassing 2022 levels.
Kazim told the Emirates News Agency (WAM) on the sidelines of Dubai’s Arabian Travel Market (ATM 2023) that Emirates is deploying a fleet of 85 A380s, increasing to 95 by the summer peak season by the end of this financial year and by next three. moon.
He added that the large wide-body airliner flies to 43 destinations on its summer flight schedule.
The airline operates about 3,080 weekly departures, or more than 440 daily flights for passengers across its global network, he said.
He revealed that Emirates is currently considering increasing capacity in the North American market and other global markets such as China, while deploying more aircraft into service and delivering the first aircraft in the Airbus A350 order.
In addition to San Francisco (July 15), Singapore (June 1) and Houston (June 15), Emirates plans to launch flights to five new cities: London, Christchurch, Sydney, Melbourne, Kazim said and Oakland.
