Fans will enjoy free concerts featuring A-Trak, Big Boi, Z-Trip, Steve Aoki
Fans of the Chevrolet Detroit Grand Prix at Lear, June 2-4, can enjoy live music and free concerts throughout the weekend as the event returns for the first time since the early 1990s Back in downtown Detroit with a hot street party vibe.
Performing at Hart Plaza within the Grand Prix Major fan zone, the entertainment lineup will include some of the most popular performers in hip-hop and electronic music.
On the evening of Friday 2 June, the first day of Grand Prix weekend will conclude with two exciting performances on the entertainment stage.Acclaimed DJ and producer A-Trak will take the stage from 6-7:15pm ET, followed by Grammy Award-winning rapper Big Boi from legendary Atlanta duo OutKast from 7:30-8pm :30 on stage
Following practice, qualifying and the first race of the Grand Prix weekend on Saturday, June 3, legendary turntable player and producer Z-Trip will perform on stage at 5.30pm following the two-time Grammy winner Nominated DJ, producer and global electronic music superstar Steve Aoki will ignite Riverfront with his electrifying performance from 7pm to 8.30pm with his signature high-energy beats and breathtaking stage production
Music will be on the entertainment scene throughout the weekend, with a variety of DJs, local bands and ethnic acts performing in the same area as the internationally acclaimed “Movement Detroit” electronic music festival at Hart Plaza a week earlier. The stage will feature performances on Friday and Saturday from noon to 8:30 pm and on Sunday from 10 am to 2:30 pm, followed by pre-race events and ceremonies for the Chevrolet IndyCar Grand Prix NTT IndyCar Series . A full schedule of performances on the Entertainment Stage will be announced closer to the event weekend.
