Emirates SkyCargo adds two Boeing 747-400Fs to its fleet, demonstrating its strong confidence in the global cargo market
The cargo arm of Emirates, the world’s largest international airline, expects 15 freighters to join its fleet through announced orders and a freighter conversion programme, plus additional belly capacity with new Airbus A350 deliveries starting in late summer 2024 years, followed by 777-Xs, a statement said.
Over the next decade, Emirates SkyCargo expects to double its existing capacity, add more than 20 new destinations to its cargo network, and offer customers more Multiple flexibility and services, including: 777s, 777-F, 747-F, A350 and A380.

“The 2 new 747-Fs we leased will provide us with immediate capacity while we wait for 5 new 777F deliveries in 2024 and 2025, and 10 777-300ERs to roll out our conversion program over the next 5 years. The two Boeing 747-Fs were acquired on a long-term wet lease, complementing Emirates SkyCargo’s existing fleet of 11 Boeing 777 freighters, currently flying to Chicago three times a week and Hong Kong nine times a week.
