“The marvelous Mrs Maiselhas submitted “Your Personal Trash Can” for Emmy consideration in the Outstanding Original Music and Lyrics category.
The song, written by Curtis Moore and songwriting partner Thomas Mizer, appears on “Susan,” episode 4 of the fifth and final season of the Amazon Prime series. “Susan” is one of the show’s most musical episodes, following Susie (Alex Borstein) and Mitch (Rachel Brosnahan) to help a garbage man on sick leave.

The series is also submitted by production designer Bill Groom for production designs for narrative episodes or fantasy shows (one hour or longer); supervising art director Neil Prince and set designer Alan Ellen Christiansen.
The Costume Team (Donna Zakowska, Costume Designer; Katie Hartsoe, 1st Assistant Costume Designer; Ben Philipp, Assistant Costume Designer; Amanda Seymour, Assistant Costume Designer; Claire Aquila, Costume Director; Marie Seifts, Costume Director) also Costume category.
Meanwhile, the show’s cinematographers Alex Neboniaci and M. David Mullen will compete for an Emmy Award for Cinematography in the Single-Camera Series (One Hour) category, Neboniaci Episode 508: “The Princess and the Request” will be submitted and Mullen will be submitting Episode 509: “Four Minutes.”
Additionally, actor Luke Kirby – who plays Mickey’s longtime friend Lenny Bruce – will be submitted in the guest actor category.
To date, the show has racked up 66 Emmy nominations, winning 20 nominations for Comedy Series, Writing, Directing, Lead Actress (Brosnahan), Supporting Actress (Borstein, twice), Supporting Actor (Tony Shalhoub) and guest star (Kirby).
Emmy voting will begin on June 15.
