Multiple Entry UAE Tourist Visa Valid For Five Years: Here’s How To Get The Visa | Travel

For many in India, a trip to the United Arab Emirates (UAE) feels like traveling to another state in our country. From its various architectural wonders to its natural beauty, there’s more than enough to thrill any visitor to this country.

The UAE has now announced a multiple-entry tourist visa valid for five years. It allows travelers to enter the country multiple times a year without a sponsor and stay up to 180 days in a year. Visas are issued for stays of 30, 60 or 90 days, up to a total of 180 days per year.

Visa applications can be submitted through the General Directorate of Residence and Foreigners Affairs (GDRFA) in Dubai. This visa will be of great benefit to companies that send their employees to the UAE for conferences, conferences and other events; those who regularly travel to the UAE to visit family and tourists.

GDRFA states that applicants should meet the following criteria to be eligible for a multiple-entry tourist visa:
Their passports should have at least six months validity.
They should book a return ticket to the UAE.
Valid insurance in the UAE is another requirement.
Bank balance equivalent to USD 4,000 (INR 3,26,841) within six months prior to the date of application.

how to apply
The process for applying for a five-year visa is fairly straightforward as an online application can be submitted through the Commonwealth Identity, Citizenship, Customs and Port Security (ICP) website or the GDRFA portal.

Those wishing to apply for a visa within the UAE can contact the Amer247 Immigration Service Center or other approved typing centres.

Visa fee
The GDRFA website states that the visa charges different fees depending on the information provided in the application and the length of stay in the UAE.

For example, a visit visa lasting 30 days costs United Arab Emirates Dirhams (AED) 300; a stay of 60 days pays AED 500 and a stay of 90 days pays AED 700. In addition to the above amounts, there is a 5% VAT.

Other fees for using the visa are a security deposit of AED 2,000 and a warranty service fee of AED 20.

Health insurance
Health insurance costs for a five-year visa are as follows: AED 40 for a 30-day visa; AED 60 for a 60-day visa and AED 90 for a 90-day visa.

Additional charges
If the sponsor is resident in the country, these fees must be paid: Knowledge Fee – AED 10; Innovation Fee – AED 10 and Internal Fee – AED 500.

When the visa is issued
According to the GDRFA website, it takes two to five working days for the visa to be issued.

Steps to obtain a five-year visitor visa:
Step 1 – Create an account on the GDRFA website:
Visit GDRFA’s official website – gdrfad.gov.ae/en Click on “Login” in the menu bar.
Individuals should click on the “Register” option.
Sign up with your email ID and submit your name and password.
Submit your full name, email id and date of birth.
Click Send OTP. A One Time Password (OTP) will be sent to your registered email ID.
Submit a one-time password. Click the Captcha box.
You are now officially registered with GDRFA.

Step 2 – Choose Multiple Entry Tourist Visa Services
You can now access the GDRFA Smart Service Platform.
Click New Application on the dashboard.
Select “New Five-Year Tourist Entry Permit” from the drop-down menu.
Click the Apply button.

Step 3 – Fill out the online application form
A – Provide details related to your journey and personal data.
For purpose of visit, select “Travel”.
When the ‘Tourism’ option is chosen, GDRFA platform will self-fill validity as ‘five years’ and ‘multiple’ entry permit.
B – Provide passport details – class, number and nationality details.
C – Details of the applicant to submit. If applying from the UAE, you should pay an additional fee to change visa status.
D – Add personal details such as mother’s full name in English and Arabic. When the name is filled in English, it will automatically fill in the Arabic name.
Specifies whether married or not.
Provide the applicant’s religious affiliation.
Add education and current employment.
Enter native language.
Please specify your country of departure for the UAE.
Fill in the contact details such as email id and mobile number.
Select the language in which to receive SMS alerts.
E – Provide your address in the UAE including emirate, city, district, street, building or villa, floor, apartment/villa number and ‘makani’ number or nearest landmark.
F – Provide your address outside the UAE – country, city, address and mobile number.
Click “Continue”.

Step 4 – Upload files
Upload the necessary documents requested by the website. They should be in PDF or jpeg format.

STEP 5 – PAY THE FEES
After completing the application form, pay the fee on the GDRFA platform using a debit or credit card.

STEP 6 – SUBMIT YOUR APPLICATION
After paying the fee, submitting the application, you will receive a reference number which you can use to track the application.

STEP 7 – COLLECTION OF VISA
You will be notified via text message and email when your multiple entry tourist visa application has been approved. You will also receive a digital copy of your license in email.
