MINSK, BelTA, 12 May – Ibrahim Salim Mohammad Mushalak, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the United Arab Emirates to Belarus, visited the Ministry of the Interior of Belarus. BelTA learned from the Ministry of the Interior that the ambassador met with Minister of the Interior Ivan Kubrakov to discuss the signing of bilateral documents and cooperation between law enforcement agencies.
Ivan Kubrakov praised the relationship established with the UAE. “The potential for our two countries to develop cooperation in all relevant fields is endless, including in maintaining security and law and order in our countries. Two international agreements are ready to be signed,” the minister said.
Ivan Kubrakov added that there is also a bilateral document at the stage of reaching an agreement.
Ibrahim Salim Mohamed Almusharrekh thanked the warm welcome, noting that during the year he spent in the country as ambassador, he ensured the country’s security and openness. “As far as I am concerned, I will make every effort to sign detailed documents as soon as possible. I have also submitted applications to the foreign ministries of the two countries, proposing to sign a memorandum of strategic cooperation between the two countries. This will allow us to cooperate in many fields,” the diplomat emphasized.
The two sides agreed to exchange views on issues of common concern through face-to-face, exchange of delegation visits and video conferences. The ambassador believes that the video bridge will help a wide range of UAE officials to familiarize themselves with the activities of the Ministry of Interior and Belarus. This is also conducive to showing that the smear information spread by some media has nothing to do with the facts.
