MUMBAI: Superstar Amitabh Bachchan recently ditched his expensive vehicle to hitchhike from strangers to avoid Mumbai traffic so he can get to work on time. The actor himself posted a photo of him riding a Harley-Davidson bike with an elderly man.
“Thanks for your ride buddy..don’t know you..but you are obligated to get me to work on time..faster and to avoid unresolvable traffic jams..thank you for the cap,shorts and yellowed t-shirt Master,” he wrote in the caption.
Many praised the actor for his down-to-earth and punctual nature. “Always heard that Mr. Bachchan @amitabhbachchan has always been the most punctual! See today what respecting time really means to you! I hope the actors learn a thing or two from this!” wrote actress Sayani Gupta.
However, some people criticized the driver for not wearing a helmet. “How about wearing a helmet dear sir? Isn’t safety more important than the urgency of getting to work?” wrote another user.
Most recently, the actor was injured while filming an action sequence on the set of “Project K,” starring Prabhas and Deepika Padukone. The film is directed by Nag Ashwin. He will also appear in the courtroom drama “Section 84” directed by Ribhu Dasgupta.
