Entertainment industry data company Luminate has launched a beta version of its new platform. The new design allows users to better understand entertainment consumption and audience reach in the music, film and television industries.
Luminate has been the resource behind the past three years billboard Charts, providing access to music sales, streaming and playback.
“As uncertainty surrounding artificial intelligence and other technological advances begins to overwhelm the entertainment industry, transparency and objectivity in the use of data in music, film, television, streaming video content and more has never been more urgent,” said Rob Jonas, Luminate CEO said in a statement.
“Luminate’s new platform builds on three decades of expertise — the information and content we collate and analyze every day to form a rich data asset upon which our customers and partners will make predictions and recommendations,” he said. added. “We’re focused on centralized, unbiased information to help creators be informed, honest, and united by a single point of reference.”
Key highlights of the platform include a new user interface with dashboard sharing capabilities, global filters, faster processing times and access to more metadata, including country of origin and label information. Additionally, Luminate will soon be adding new data partners to expand their database.
“In the coming quarters, Luminate will integrate its other data products into the new platform, including music audience research, movie metadata, TV metadata, streaming video analytics, and more,” the company said in a statement.
