UAE: More than 700 new high-tech radars to be installed on Abu Dhabi roads-News

As part of the police’s efforts to improve safety, more than 700 new traffic radars will be installed on the roads of Abu Dhabi.

The Abu Dhabi Police has partnered with technology company Idemia and traffic management solutions provider Alliance Traffic Systems to ensure that the emirate’s road system is future-proof.

Part of the new technology that will be introduced is a multi-target tracking radar, which is integrated with a sharp camera and can monitor multiple lanes at the same time.

This customized high-tech device called MESTAfusion will provide additional functions and weather monitoring.

The new partnership is in line with Abu Dhabi’s road safety vision to reduce the number of traffic fatalities.
