UAE receives wanted terrorist from Jordan

[ad_1]

Abu Dhabi: The UAE has received a terrorist named Khalaf Abd Al Rahman Humaid Al Rumaithi from Jordanian authorities. In 2013, the UAE Federal Supreme Court sentenced him and others in Case No. 79/2012, in absentia to 15 years in prison for establishing a secretive organization linked to the terrorist Muslim Brotherhood against Fundamental principles of the UAE Government.

The procedure for handing over the terrorist was carried out on the basis of a warrant issued against him and an agreement on legal and judicial cooperation by the Council of Arab Ministers of the Interior, tasked with prosecuting criminals fleeing criminal justice in Arab countries.

retired on the same charge

Khalaf Al Rumaithi will be tried again under the UAE Criminal Procedure Code, which stipulates that if the defendant sentenced in absentia is arrested or turns himself in, he will be retried on the same charges against him.

The UAE reaffirms its sovereignty and stability, as well as the safety and security of its citizens and residents, and will not hesitate to pursue those wanted and prosecute them in a fair judicial process.
