Abu Dhabi: Company in United Arab Emirates (UAE) fantasy robotThe company, based in the Jebel Ali industrial zone, has launched fire-fighting robots that can serve as first responders to fires, local media reported.
A homemade device called Wabel, which means rain – can be sent to dangerous areas that are difficult for firefighters to reach.
With a water flow rate of 8,000 liters per minute, a range of 100 meters and a height of 50 meters, the robot can start work before firefighters reach the fire.
according to a report Al Arabmeasuring 220cm long, 150cm wide and 135cm high, Wabel looks like a mini-tank and is equipped with cameras and sensors that provide real-time information about fires, helping firefighters make safer and more effective emergency response plans.
A team at FFBOTS has created the machine with the hope that it will be a useful addition to fire departments in the UAE and the wider region.
The robot can be controlled wirelessly at a distance of up to 1 kilometer. It comes with four hose entries and GPS.
Six smart cameras cover all directions, helping firefighters make decisions from a distance without getting close to the flames.
The robot is also equipped with front sprinklers to cool surfaces in front of the robot, and vertical sprinklers that form a water umbrella to cool the robot from above.
The ‘Wabel’ is expertly built and can climb up to 30 degrees due to its weight of approximately 1 ton. It is equipped with a strong front fender, which allows it to collide with obstacles ahead to quickly reach the fire site.
Wabel has an internal audio channel that allows the controller to hear sounds around the robot.
The robot’s powerful headlights allow controllers to see the smoke clearly, while an audible siren helps locate the robot.
