A UAE business delegation met Pakistani Prime Minister Sheikh Baz Sharif on Friday to discuss opportunities in various sectors in the South Asian country.
The delegation, led by Sheikh Ahmed Dharmouk Al Maktoum, a member of the UAE’s ruling family, looked at investment opportunities in Pakistan’s trade, ports and shipping sectors.
Sheikh Ahmed said he will visit Pakistan again in less than two months to further promote UAE investment in Pakistan. The private office of Sheikh Ahmed Dalmook Al Maktoum owns a string of privately held companies focused on infrastructure, energy and agriculture.
Prime Minister Sharif assured that the government will provide all possible support to UAE investors.
Pakistani Federal Minister of Finance and Revenue Mohammad Ishaq Dar, Minister of Maritime Affairs Syed Faisal Ali Sabzwari, Special Advisor Dr. Jehanzeb Khan, Syed Tariq Fatemi Other senior officials attended the meeting.
Hamad Obaid Ibrahim Salim Al Zabi, UAE Ambassador to Pakistan, was also present.
